Charlotte L. Geary

Charlotte L. (Flack) Geary, 96, of Champion, passed away peacefully Monday September 4, 2023 at her home, while surrounded and comforted by her loving family. She was born January 4, 1927 in White a daughter of the late Russell and Hattie White Flack. Charlotte had worked as a Cook for Indian Creek Valley Farm. She enjoyed cooking and throughout the rest of her life she loved cooking for her family and friends , especially her specialty homemade noodles. Charlotte was a longtime and very active member of the County Line Church of the Brethren in Champion. She served the church as a Deaconess,was the longtime President of the Ladies Aid , served on the Nurture Commission, was the children's Song Leader, and enjoyed helping plan the ham and beef dinners. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #247 the Order of Amaranth, and the Indian Creek Valley CB Club. She also enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, and travel with her husband. The family would like to thank her caregiver Debbie and Independence Hospice especially Ashley, Stephanie, Lori, Brittany, and Jody for all of their wonderful care given to Charlotte. Charlotte will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving daughter Darlene L. Keslar of Champion, her grandchildren Kelli Barker and husband Jonn of Indiana,PA, Kandi Fazekas and husband Jason of Norvelt, and Kevin Keslar of Champion, her great grandchildren Tyler and Madison Barker and Nicholas and Jacob Fazekas, and several nieces and nephews. Charlotte was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents Charlotte was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Clyde L. Geary on November 28, 2012, her son-in-law Edward Keslar in 1974, her brother Ronald Flack, and her sisters Ruby Knopsnider, Anna Jane Eutsey, and Estella B. Keslar. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of Route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310), where a Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Barry Conn officiating. A Committal Service and interment will follow in the Normalville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks to please give donations to the County Line Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 86, Champion, PA. 15622, in memory of Charlotte L. Geary.
