Ernest A. Shultz

Ernest A. Shultz, 74, of Normalville, passed away peacefully Saturday March 28, 2026 at his home, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 28, 1951 in Normalville a son of the late Simon and Bertha Richter Shultz. Prior to his retirement Ernest worked as a Laborer doing heavy highway construction through Union Local #1058 in Pittsburgh. He also worked for Right of Way Cleaning and Maintenance, Inc. for many years. Ernest loved working with wood and even had a sawmill for a time and he also loved farming. He grew many different vegetables and sold corn that he grew to people in the area for many years. Ernest was a member of the Clinton Church of God and attended the Pennsville Community Church. Ernest loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Indian Creek Valley Sportsman's Club and the Connellsville Eagles #493. Ernest will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving family, his children Tammy Mountain (John) of Melcroft, Anthony "Tony" Shultz (Amanda) of Normalville, and Joni Shultz (Fiancee Donald Keefer) of Normalville, his grandchildren Aaron Shultz, Autumn Keefer, Ethan Shultz, MaryEllen Mountain, Andy Shultz, Kaitlin Shultz, Michael Mountain, and Brittany Mansberry (Andrew), his great grandchildren Gina Gallentine, Adelyn Mansberry, and Aiden Mansberry, his sisters Eleanor (Alvis) Laws of Normalville and Mary (John) Phillips of White, his sister-in-law Grace Shultz of Normalville, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Ernest was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years Martha Ann Fulton Shultz on March 13, 2022, his brothers Simon R. Shultz, Jr., Melvin "Tom" Shultz (Mary), Delmus Shultz (Barbara), and his sisters Naomi Prinkey (Issac) and Twila Eiford (Dale). Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, in the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of Route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310) where a Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Morgan Kelly officiating and assisted by Pastor John Knoll. A Committal Service and interment will follow in the Dan Snyder Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Clinton Church of God or the Pennsville Community Church, or the Indian Creek Valley Sportsman's Club, in memory of Ernest A. Shultz.
