Norma K Liston

Norma K. (Harbaugh) Liston, 90, of Mill Run passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Hempfield Manor in Greensburg following a short illness. Norma was born February 26, 1934 in Mill Run. She was the daughter of the late Oakey D. and A. Gertrude Shroyer Harbaugh. Norma was employed at an early age by the Dupre family and was acknowledged as one of the oldest employees in 2022 with 75 years of service with the family. Norma attended the Indian Head Church of God and previously was a member of the Mill Run United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and loved to prepare meals, can, and freeze a lot of fruits and vegetables from her large garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family and little dog Asia and also eating out and visiting friends at local restaurants. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving family, her three loving daughters, Cynthia (Bill) Pletcher of Hunker, Robbie (Randy) Younkin of Rockwood, and Terri (John) Hamm of Mill Run, her grandchildren Chris Pletcher (Candi), Brandon Pletcher (Kelly), Nikki Berger (Chris), Heath Younkin (Jolee), Justin Younkin, and Becky Gordon, her great grandchildren Brayton, Brady, Audrey, Elizabeth, Kenny, Emily, Ashton, Aaron, and Nashon, her sister Gladys Kellner of Oil City, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Norma was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, Ora R. Liston on April 25, 2020, her sisters Evelyn Morgan of Rockwood and Betty (Laura) Lafferty of Normalville, and her brother Lester Harbaugh of Mill Run. The family would like to thank Hempfield Manor and special thanks to Dr. Leonida, Sr. and Dr. Leonida, Jr. for all the wonderful care throughout the years. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, the hour of a Funeral Service, in the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of Route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310), with Pastor Ben Tobias officiating. A Committal Service and interment will follow in the Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the local animal shelter or the Indian Head Church of God, in memory of Norma K. Liston.
