Robert Lee "Bob" Miller

Robert (Bob) Lee Miller, 90, of Normalville passed away March 17, 2025 at Life’s Promise in Ligonier, PA. He was born December 7, 1934 in Connellsville, Fayette County, son of the late Clyde W. Miller and Kathryn E. Miller (Henry). He was a 1953 graduate from Connellsville High School. He attended Critchfield Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Bob was a member of the Carpenter’s Heavy Construction and Highway local union 2274 for 67 years. He worked for GAL Construction and A&L Construction for many years as a General Superintendent, overseeing the construction of many highways and bridges throughout Pennsylvania. He was an avid gardener. He enjoyed sharing gardening tips and produce with friends and neighbors. He provided a solid example of maintaining a strong work ethic, taking initiative and having pride in a job well done for the generations of family members to follow. Bob cared for his wife of 60 years, Mildred “Sis” Miller, at their home before her passing in 2019. He will be cherished by their daughter Karen Nicholson (Malcom), son Kevin Miller (Brenda), and daughters Deanna Moximchalk, Beth Kuhns (Mike), and Wendy Swank (Jeff), grandchildren Dawn Nicholson (Richard), Nick Bell, Shane Kuhns, Seth Kuhns, Cayden Swank, Addison Swank, Isaac Potvin, Lincoln Potvin and his nephew Shawn and wife Rachel Breegle and their daughters Marin and Ainsley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kari Ann Nicholson, his sister Ruby Breegle and brother-in-law Zane Breegle, his step-father John Henry, and son-in-law, George Bell. The family extends a special thank you to the amazing caregivers at his home, Deb, Stephanie and Krissy and heartfelt appreciation to the team members at Life’s Promise. Their support and care was so greatly appreciated. Thank you dad for the years of dedication and support to the family. We are at peace knowing you are with mom and family. We look forward to seeing you all again one day. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2-8 PM and Thursday from 9-11 AM, the hour of a funeral service in the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home Inc, at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310) with Pastor Randy C. Newell officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Keslar Cemetery, Saltlick Twp.
