Senneth Charles Keslar

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Senneth C. Keslar who departed this life on April 2, 2025 at the age of 89, only to enter eternal life with Jesus Christ his Savior. Born on August 2, 1935, the son of Paul and Erma (Meyers) Keslar, Senneth was a lifelong resident of White. Senneth's kindness,generosity, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Senneth was a man of faith and as a lifetime member of the Buchanan Church of God, served his church in many capacities. He was a church elder for more than 30 years, serving on the church council where he passionately used his resources to help expand and maintain the church. He was made a life-elder for his many years of service.Senneth began his career in logging and sawmilling at 15, working alongside his father, Paul, and grandfather, Francis Meyers. After his father's death, Senneth joined with his son Charles to continue his life's work. Together they operated Keslar Lumber Company until Senneth retired at age 82. The success of Keslar Lumber Company is due in part to the dedicated employees who we thank for their many years of hard work. Senneth enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a partner in the Motordrome Speedway in Smithton. He was an avid fan for his son Chuck and several friends who raced. He loved going to the auction in Rogers ,Ohio with his buddies, Ed, Dave, and Bob. He loved a good buy and would often come home with a truck load of treasures, including shrubs and flowers. He enjoyed flowers and had a passion for daffodils. His beautiful daffodils surround his house each spring in a showy display. After retirement, Senneth was often seen riding around in his red Cadillac, (his favorite car), with a wave and a smile for all who passed along the way. Lunch was his favorite meal, and Senneth could be found enjoying a cheeseburger and ice cream with whoever he met up with on that day. Senneth is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lillian (Spitzkopf) Keslar. Together they were blessed with 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Their children are Ginny (Mark) Martin, Vicki (Floyd) Snyder, Charles Keslar, Jane (John) Staranko, and Valerie (Paul) Keslar. Also left to honor his memory are his grandchildren Zach (Kearra) Bradshaw, Floyd (Regina) Snyder III, Matthew (Stefanie) Snyder, Rebecca (Drew) Plevelich, Kylie (Brandon) Bryner, Paul (Jessica) Keslar, Shauna (Lee) Staranko-Scott, Josey (John) Miller, and Clint (Rachael) Miller, the great grandchildren that brought so much joy to his life are AraBelle, Marley, and Kiana Bradshaw, Aleese, Holden, and Ellie Plevelich, Tyke, Dempsey, and Genevieve Snyder, Alaina and Madison Snyder, Weston and Wyatt Bryner, Kendall, Kennedy, and Kadie Keslar, Mary Etta Scott, Myla and Lainey Miller. Senneth was deeply saddened by the passing of his son-in-law, Floyd Snyder, Jr. twelve years ago. Senneth was well known for his smile, always genuine, sometimes mischievous, but easily given to all who knew him. Senneth was just a phone call away for his children and family. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Greeting of the family and viewing will be held Wednesday April 9th from 2-8 PM in the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of Route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310). Additional viewing will be held at the Buchanan Church of God, 836 Buchanan Rd., White, PA. 15490, on Thursday April 10th from 10 - 11 AM, the hour of a Funeral Service, with Pastor Tim Beatty officiating. A Committal Service and interment will follow in the Eutsey Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the church social hall. The family asks you to consider a donation to the Buchanan Church of God Building Fund in Senneth's memory. Plant some daffodils and think of Senneth when they bloom.
