Thomas E Kalp Sr

Thomas E. Kalp, Sr., 78, of Acme, passed away peacefully Sun. Jan. 10, 2021 at his home, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born Feb. 1, 1942 in Jones Mills a son of the late Caton and Beulah Cramer Kalp. Tom was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School in Mt. Pleasant with the Class of 1961. Tom had worked through the Carpenter's Union and had his own business, Kalp Builders. He was also the owner/operator of T.J.'s Restaurant on route 31 in Jones Mills. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving family, his children Tom Kalp, Jr. and wife Marsha of Norvelt, Tammy Kalp Ankney and husband Eric of Jones Mills, Jeffrey Kalp and wife Christina of Jones Mills, and Jed Kalp and wife Katie of Acme, his grandchildren Brandon Dzambo, Katrina Kalp and Cody, Keith Kalp, Erica Ankney, Samantha Ankney, Brook Mohar and husband Adam, Alyssa Kalp, Juliann Kalp, Geno Kalp, Max Kalp, and Molly Kalp, his great grandchildren Kadence and Issabelle, his brothers Fred Kalp and wife Judy of Acme, Jim Kalp and wife Lois of Acme, and Wayne Kalp and wife Cindy of Freidens, his sisters Louise Keslar and husband Lynn of Acme, Diane Hoffer and husband William of Acme, and Judy DeFlippo and husband Don of Mt. Pleasant, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Tom was predeceased by his wife Edna Gail McClain Kalp, his sisters Peg Brown, Julia Donovan, and Shirley May, and her brothers Allen Kalp, Elton Kalp, and E. Arnold Kalp. Family and friends will be received Tues from 2 - 8 PM in the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310). A Graveside Service will then be held Weds. at 11:00 AM in the Donegal Cemetery (Everyone wishing to attend please go directly to the cemetery). Interment will follow there. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Medi Hospice, 109 Crossroads Rd. #119, Scottdale, PA. 15683, in memory of Thomas E.
