Emily Ritenour

April 14, 1927 - February 6, 2022

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Emily (Henry) Ritenour of Normalville, Pennsylvania passed away with family by her side and in her heart on February 6, 2022 at the age of 94 years. Emily will be lovingly remembered by family and friends, especially her children, Kathy, Delores, Donna, Kimberly and Randy; her grandchildren, Sandy, JJ, Shawn, Jason, Christopher, Michael, Ben, Cody, Donna, Amanda, and Katelyn; her great grandchildren, Brittany, Savannah, Alayna, Autumn, Alex, Lucas, Logan, Ryan, Mackenzie, Benjamin, and Aubrey. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Arthur Ritenour, her father Leroy Henry, mother Katherine Geary, daughter Audrey Marie Ritenour, and granddaughter Kathy Marie Gildroy, as well as her siblings, Wilbert Henry, John Henry, Roy Henry, Tommie Henry, Blanche Oaks, Rebecca Peck, Beda Fresh, Nettie Wilson, and Ruby Miller. Emily worked at Seven Springs when she was young as a housekeeper. She was co-owner of Ritenour Tree Service along with her husband Clarence. Emily was a consummate homemaker, gardener, and a musician - played the fiddle, harmonica, and piano by ear. She welcomed everyone with laughter, sometimes a prank, a cup of coffee, food to eat, and stories to tell. Viewing for family and friends will be at the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home, 146 Municipal Building Road, Melcroft PA 15462 on Thursday, Feb 10th from 2-8 pm. Funeral Service will be on Friday, Feb 11th at 11 am and officiated by Pastor Tom Jones.
