Gerald R. Wiltrout

Gerald R. Wiltrout, 74 of White died Saturday September 23, 2017 in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He was born November 9, 1942 in Freidens a son of the late Jesse and Olive Snyder Wiltrout. Mr. Wiltrout was employed as a tree trimmer for Asplunde Tree Service. He was a member of the Laurel Highlands Snowmobile Club and he was an avid hunter and loved Bluegrass Festivals. He was a member of the Mt. Salem United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Brown Hall Wiltrout; his children, Garry Wiltrout and his wife Wendy of Bakersville, Karen Smith and her husband Tom of White and Tim Wiltrout and his wife Jean of White; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Koontz and her husband Dennis of Fairfield, Ill; six grandchildren, Tyler DeWitt, Marissa Lepley and her husband Aaron, Amanda DeWitt, Emily Wiltrout, Mara McCutcheon and Kendal McCutcheon; a step grandchild, Heather Austin and her husband Jason; seven great grandchildren, Jayden Bowser, Kaden DeWitt, Waylon Lepley, Bella Savage, Megan, Nic and Malia Austin; a brother, Bill Wiltrout and his wife Jenny of Emporium; his sisters, Marlene Shaffer and her husband Bill of Scottdale, Doris Crabtree of Connellsville, Jane Rtienour of Connellsville and Linda Greenawalt and her husband Randy of White; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Wiltrout of Connellsville, Stanley Brown and his wife Fern of Mount Pleasant, Elmer Brown, Jr. and his wife Cathy of White, Louise Freed and her husband Harold of White , Esther Mowry of White and Jean Brown of Florida. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Retha Brown Wiltrout, his second wife, Alma Kiser Wiltrout; a daughter Donna Wiltrout, a granddaughter Megan Wiltrout; brother Carl Wiltrout; sister Janet Wiltrout and brothers-in-law Gary Ritenour and Joe Brown. Friends will be received from 5-9 P.M. Monday and 2-4, 6-9 P.M. Tuesday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Municipal Building Road and Route 711, Melcroft. Additional viewing will take place in the Mt. Salem United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., the hour of services in the church with Rev. Beverly Spore officiating.
