Glenn Lamar Bruner Jr.

Glenn Lamar "Jr." Bruner, Jr., 98, of Indian Head went to be with the Lord Friday July 11, 2025 at his home, while surrounded and comforted by his loving family. He was born August 25, 1926 in Acme a son of the late Glenn L. and Bessie Coffman Bruner, Sr. Glenn grew up on his family farm near Donegal. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII where he was stationed in Texas and was a founding member of the Donegal American Legion. He worked as a Carpenter for many years through Union Local #2274 in Pittsburgh.. Glenn purchased his first truck in 1960 and continued as an owner/operator for Aero Trucking in Normalville. Glenn was also a member of the Indian Creek Valley Lions Club and served as it's Past President. Glenn loved the Lord and enjoyed studying His word and was a longtime member and regular attendee of the Indian Head Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, cutting grass, and drove Stock Car #711 to the enjoyment of many people in the Indian Creek area. It seemed appropriate he died on 7/11 when he crossed his final finish line. The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful nurses from Amedisys Hospice, especially Michelle for her kindness. Glenn loved his family and would do anything for anyone. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving family, his children Dennis Bruner and wife Patty of Indian Head, Danny Bruner and wife Ruth Ann of Christiana, PA., and Doug Bruner and wife Sally of Indian Head, 2 grandchildren he raised Neil Wilders and wife Alisha of Normalville and Bethany Staus and husband John of Bradenville, his grandchildren Dave Bruner and wife Denise of Indian Head, Michael Bruner and wife Vynessa of Connellsville, Keith Bruner and wife Gemma of Lancaster, Eric Bruner and wife Bonnie of Honeybrook, Jeff Bruner and wife Sherry, of Strasburg, Erin Clevenger and husband Lary of Morgantown WV., and Megan Gongloff and husband Tyler of Latrobe, his 14 great grandchildren, and his great great grandchild, his sister Betty Ann Bruner of Rocky Mount, NC., his sister-in-law Alverta Pritts of Indian Head, and his special friend Audie Geary. In addition to his parents Glenn was predeceased by his wife of 59 years Helen Louise Ansell Bruner on October 17, 2006, his daughter Karen Wilders and her husband Richard Wilders, daughter-in-law Dorothy Bruner, his sister Charlotte Brougher, and his brother Earl Bruner. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2-8 PM in the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of Route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310), where a Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Douglas Nolt officiating. A Committal Service and interment will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Champion. Military Rites will be conducted by the Donegal VFW and American Legion Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Indian Head Church of God, 691 Indian Creek Valley Rd., P.O.
